LEADER: We call upon our God.
ALL: We know our God hears and answers.
LEADER: We bring our cares to God.
ALL: Our God shows us steadfast love.
Opening Prayer (Clergy Stuff)
Holy God, You are faithful to us even when we act faithlessly. You call us and claim us even when we live as though we do not know you. Restore us to wholeness, and renew in us a commitment to follow in the way of Jesus each day of our lives. In his name we pray. Amen.
*Opening Song Change My Heart, Oh God TFWS 2152
Change my heart, O God,
make it ever true.
Change my heart, O God,
may I be like you.
You are the Potter,
I am the clay.
Mold me and make me,
this is what I pray.
Change my heart, O God,
make it ever true.
Change my heart, O God,
may I be like you.

RESPONDING
*Sermon Song At the Name of Jesus UMH 168
- At the name of Jesus
every knee shall bow,
every tongue confess him
King of glory now;
’tis the Father’s pleasure
we should call him Lord,
who from the beginning
was the mighty Word.
- Humbled for a season,
to receive a name
from the lips of sinners
unto whom he came,
faithfully he bore it,
spotless to the last,
brought it back victorious
when from death
he passed.
- Bore it up triumphant
with its human light,
through all ranks
of creatures
to the central height,
to the throne of Godhead,
to the Father’s breast;
filled it with the glory
of that perfect rest.
- In your hearts
enthrone him;
there let him subdue
all that is not holy,
all that is not true.
Crown him
as your captain
in temptation’s hour;
let his will enfold you
in its light and power.
God of mercy and grace, we lift our prayers to you.
The Lord’s Prayer (Spoken)
All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

*Offering Response Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow (UMH 95)
*Prayer of Dedication (Clergy Stuff)
All: Steadfast God, we bring before you these gifts out of those gifts you first gave to us—financial resources, the ability to give service, and even our very lives. Whatever we have been able to offer, now accept, bless, and use for the good of others, in your holy name. Amen.

*Closing Song Lead On, O King Eternal UMH 580
- Lead on, O King eternal,
the day of march has come;
henceforth in fields of conquest
thy tents shall be our home.
Through days of preparation
thy grace has
made us strong;
and now, O King eternal,
we lift our battle song.
- Lead on, O King eternal,
till sin’s fierce
war shall cease,
and holiness shall whisper
the sweet amen of peace.
For not with
swords loud clashing,
nor roll of stirring drums;
with deeds of love and mercy
the heavenly kingdom comes.
- Lead on, O King eternal,
we follow, not with fears,
for gladness breaks
like morning
where’er thy face appears.
Thy cross is lifted o’er us,
we journey in its light;
the crown awaits
the conquest;
lead on, O God of might.
