In our exploration of John’s Gospel, we observed how the unique and diverse "call stories" of the first disciples remind us that there is no single, right way to begin following Jesus. Whether we come to faith through a trusted leader, a personal invitation, or even with a healthy dose of skepticism, Jesus meets us where we are and invites us to simply "come and see." As we enter 2026, we lean into this invitation by setting personal covenants through prayer, presence, gifts, service, and witness, trusting that God will lead us toward a year of revelation and growth.
Weekly Reflection Questions
1. Which "Call Story" is yours? Looking back at your own journey, did you come to follow Jesus through a personal invitation, the testimony of a friend, or perhaps like Nathaniel, with a bit of skeptical caution?
2. Where is your "Star Word" leading? As you sit with the word or phrase you received today, how might it challenge or encourage you to see God’s presence in the unexpected corners of your daily life this month?
3. What is one small "Yes"? Of the five covenant areas (prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness), which one feels the most life-giving for you to focus on right now, and what is one small, intentional step you can take in that area this week?
