In today’s service we explored how Jesus meets people where they are—whether at a well, on an app, or in a crowded church—and invites us to step beyond our self‑imposed borders of judgment and fear. The story of the Samaritan woman reminded us that God sees past societal labels and offers grace, encouraging us to create spaces of vulnerability where everyone can be known without erasure. Ultimately, we were called to follow Jesus’ example by reaching out across cultural, economic, and personal divides, cultivating a community rooted in love, belonging, and courageous service.
Reflection questions
- In what ways do we still feel boundaries or barriers that prevent us from truly listening to others who differ from us?
- How can we intentionally create moments of vulnerability—both for myself and for those around us—in our daily lives this week?
- What practical steps can we take to help dismantle the divisions (racial, economic, ideological, etc.) that keep people isolated within and around our church community?
