Call to Worship (Clergy Stuff)
LEADER: God has set our feet on firm ground.
ALL: Our steps are secure.
LEADER: God has put a new song in our mouths.
ALL: We will sing our praises to God.
Opening Prayer (Clergy Stuff)
God of restoration,
Healing and wholeness come from you. Bless the work of all who strive for the healing and wholeness of individuals, communities, nations, human society, and the natural world, that their work might be your work through them, for the sake of all that you have made. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
*Opening Song The First Song of Isaiah TFWS 2030
Surely, it is God
who saves me;
I will trust in him
and not be afraid.
For the Lord
is my stronghold
and my sure defense,
and he will be my Savior.

RESPONDING
*Sermon Song O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee UMH 430
- O Master, let me
walk with thee
in lowly paths
of service free;
tell me thy secret;
help me bear
the strain of toil,
the fret of care.
- Help me the slow
of heart to move
by some clear, winning
word of love;
teach me the wayward
feet to stay,
and guide them in
the homeward way.
- Teach me thy patience;
still with thee
in closer,
dearer company,
in work that keeps
faith sweet and strong,
in trust that triumphs
over wrong;
- In hope that sends
a shining ray
far down the future’s
broadening way,
in peace that only
thou canst give,
with thee, O Master,
let me live.
God of light, hear our prayers.
The Lord’s Prayer (Spoken)
All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

*Offering Response Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow (UMH 94)
*Prayer of Dedication (Clergy Stuff)
All: All of creation came forth from your hand, O God. Accept now these humble offerings out of the incomprehensible abundance you have made and shared with us. Use our gifts to further the work of healing and wholeness for all the world. Amen.

*Closing Song For the Healing of the Nations UMH 428
- For the healing
of the nations,
Lord, we pray
with one accord;
for a just and
equal sharing
of the things
that earth affords;
to a life of love in action
help us rise and
pledge our word,
(pledge our word)
help us rise and
pledge our word.
- Lead us forward
into freedom;
from despair
your world release,
that, redeemed
from war and hatred,
all may come
and go in peace.
Show us how through
care and goodness
fear will die
and hope increase,
(hope increase)
fear will die
and hope increase.
- All that kills
abundant living,
let it from the
earth be banned;
pride of status,
race, or schooling,
dogmas that
obscure your plan.
In our common
quest for justice
may we hallow
life’s brief span,
(life’s brief span)
may we hallow
life’s brief span.
- You, Creator
God, have written
your great name
on humankind;
for our growing
in your likeness
bring the life of
Christ to mind,
that by our
response and service
earth its destiny
may find,
(may find)
earth its destiny
may find.
