Advent is here, and I wanted to take the time to share a few devotionals and resources.

As a reminder, each week we have a half-sheet with prayers, discussion questions, and daily Bible readings available on the website, uploaded with the Sermon. Clergy Stuff also hosts daily devotionals on their website at: https://clergystuff.com/nl-devotions

If you’re looking for more this Advent, here are a few good and free devotionals and activities.

From the UMC:

Kate Bowler has created many different devotionals over the years to hold the complexities of human emotions in this season: https://katebowler.com/advent/

The authors of The Book of Belonging have released a set of family Advent activities on their Substack: https://thebookofbelonging.substack.com/p/advent-2025.

We Choose Welcome has put together On the Move: Reflections on Advent Through the Lens of Migration: https://www.wechoosewelcome.com/god-on-the-move

(I'll be reading this one this year)

And a few more as recommended by a Baptist News Article.

And lastly, Justice Unbound, a ministry of the Presbyterian Church USA, releases an Advent devotional each year, and this year’s focus is on Transgender Folks: https://justiceunbound.org/transadvent/ (I'll be reading this one this year too).

If you want a printed copy of any of these, let us know, and we'll find a way to get it printed for you.
